
Not So Idle Spaceship - Game Jam
Built for Brakeys Game Jam 2025.1, my second Game Jam. With a Jam theme of "Nothing can go wrong...". Made in 5 days Feb 16th - Feb 22nd, this project aimed to practice my UI building skills. All feedback is appreciated.
The goal of the game is to keep the spaceship running by not letting the timer run out. Making sure nothing goes wrong... because if it does, its over.

Fun little game! I like the concept! But without pause it's very stressful :-)
After the counter goes to zero, it could drain the remaining credits or have a ship damage meter which you can repair (e.g. flipping a leaver, turing a wrench or such).
This is a cool, rough gem. With more polish and some changes this could be really, really good.
It's an interesting idea, but it's just not doable on a laptop without mouse. Please change it so the game isn't immediately over with restart from zero if the counter goes to 0. Find some other "punishment", but not total game over.
Hey Feanors, thanks for the feedback! Restarting from 0 was a part of the theme that nothing could go wrong, so I'm not sure that could change. In testing I realized the game did not work well on trackpads, unfortunately I think this is just a byproduct of the fundamental game design. I definitely think I will consider more control schemes prior to making future games.
